Kid's Play
A fairly common trivia question asks what the first video on MTV was. The answer is Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles, a perhaps appropriate title for a new network that would lead to a burst of creativity for visual mediums, even as America wasn't ready to actually watch music being played.
The band above consists of a harpist, a mandolin player, and a bassist, singing, rather impressively the same song. The call themselves, The Wrong Trousers, after the best of the four Wallace and Gromit films/
Give it a listen.
By the way, it's a bit odd when the same performers are filmed and YouTubed by two different people, so here they are again, at a different angle.
