Federer Forehands
In the last two months or so, I've been trying to emulate the Federer forehand. In some respects, he hits his forehand a bit like a serve. If you watch any pro hit a serve, they hit nearly edge on, before pronating the wrist, hitting the serve about flat on, before the wrist flips again on the follow through.
This motion is hard to describe in words, a bit hard to show, and takes quite a while to master. It makes you wonder how these teens learn this rather complex motion so young, when many players, who've played tennis for years, take a long time to master it. (Simple answer: these kids get good coaching, and they have a lot of physical talent).
I used to emulate more of the Djokovic forehand, but if you watch that, you'll see how complex his motion is.
